Fading Shadows PSP is a puzzle/adventure game, where you control a beam of light and a sphere to achieve your objectives.
Doesn't it sound boring? well it's different it makes a change from most games on the PSP.
Frankly, It's not my cup of tea, I lost interest very quickly, although I can see how some people might enjoy the game.
The game starts out with simple tasks, mainly to train you how to control the beam of light and your sphere.
Things progress with each level becoming more complex, things like changing your sphere's material to achieve a goal, or manipulating objects in the enviroments with your beam of light, or a combination of both or more.

The in game enviroments are fairly well drawn but nothing will make your jaw drop with amazment. Sphere and beam of light graphic effects are fair but you can loose sight of your sphere occassionally, leading to annoyances.

The ambient music in the game makes up for the few sound effects found in this sort of game, It's relaxing and helps calm you down if your struggling to work things out.


This game is probably suited to people who like calming gameplay, rather than hell for leather time games.
So if you like wearing slippers and a smoking jacket last thing before bedtime, take a look at Fading Shadows.

Different but average. Good game for insomniacs though.
