Fallout 4 Guide: Maximizing Performance and Getting a High Refresh Rate Experience
540Today seemed like a great day to release a Fallout 4 video. Sorry about the different/worse audio quality, my Blue Yeti microphone is starting to crackle and pop like crazy, so an old headset mic is the best option right now. I hope the quality of the information outweighs the poor quality of my voice.
My system specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, stock settings w/ PBO disabled
GPU: Ngreedia GeForce RTX 4060 (aka a renamed 4050 Ti)
RAM: 2x16 GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR5 6000 MT/s CL32
SSD: MSI M450 NVMe SSD
PSU: Some 600W garbo that will probably catch on fire in 2 weeks
To turn off godrays, under the [Display] section in Fallout4.ini, type:
bNvGodraysEnable=0
To fix upscaling issues, I’d recommend under the [Imagespace] section in Fallout4.ini to change all settings to 0 like so:
bDoDepthOfField=0
bLensFlare=0
bMBEnable=0
bScreenSpaceBokeh=0
