I got too excited last time and shot the vid without doing enough testing. As you can see this door frame is even more fickle than I knew. If anyone knows any other pieces that have bizarre snapping properties based on location (even within the same settlement) I'd love to hear about them. Sorry about the sloppy upload last vid. Hopefully this update is helpful.

Kevin Alibert did some testing on this and showed that it can snap at two vastly different elevations at Finch Farm and that it also works with other "thick walls" and not just the ones with doorways in them. Here's a link to his vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqsUjsxoBmY&t=16s
