Fallout 76 - NEW GAME MODE ANNOUNCED

Hi guys,

So today we're taking a look at some Fallout 76 news that I know a lot of you will be very interested in! So over the past few weeks Bethesda have been releasing various articles that they're calling 'Inside The Vault'. Basically this is Bethesda's way of trying to improve communication between the game studio and their community. Basically these posts discuss what's going on behind the scenes and gives a heads-up on what to expect from the next few game patches.

Anyway, in the latest Inside the Vault, Bethesda mention how we shouldn't expect any more patches or updates until the new year andnd basically summing up what some of their plans are for 2019. So as you'll know from the title of this video, part of the post talks about a new game mode they have been working on. The article states:

"We’re also hard at work on a new mode where you can work together, or not, without PVP restrictions. We’re already having fun playing it at the office and we’re hopeful to roll it out to all of you sometime in the first quarter of the year."

So yes basically Bethesda are creating a game mode that tackles an issue that a lot of player's have (apart from the bugs) and that is the almost non-existing PvP system. Now in the current game PvP has to be initiated by both the attacker and the attackee and obviously this was done to prevent griefing etc. however it also removes any kind of fear or worry about other players and so most people just don't bother to engage. Although no more information has been released in regards to this new game mode, it seems like we will soon be able to join severs where you can basically just go around killing whoever you like! I assume there will be some restrictions etc, but I think this will really create player interactions that are scary and make other players a real potential threat.

The only thing I'd like to see is that when you are killed you drop more than just your junk. Because I feel if they remove the PvP restrictions but all you can earn from killing other players is junk, I don't think there is any incentive to be a raider for example.

At the moment their is no official date etc, but the article says it will 'hopefully' be out in the first quart of next year. So somtime between January & March.
