In this video we take a look at the 8 similarities between ‘Fallout New Vegas’ and Obsidian’s recently announced ‘The Outer Worlds’. Fallout New Vegas, is considered as best Fallout to date by many fans of the Fallout franchise, and it looks like Obsidian are creating a game that is going to have many parallels. Examples include, large emphasis on player choice and re-playability, companions, standard RPG dialogue options (not limited to 4) and a steam-punk, post-apocalyptic setting.

The Outer Worlds and Fallout New Vegas - 8 Similarities.

Hi guys,

So for those of you who don't know Obsidian, yes this is the obsidian that developed Fallout New Vegas have recently dropped a trailer for their new game 'The Outer Worlds' and I am so so excited. Immediately from the trailer you can see that this game is going to have a lot of similarities to Fallout New Vegas which is argueabley still the best Fallout game to date. So in this video we are going to take a look at 8 similarties between the Outer Worlds and Fallout New Vegas. Now just before we start please remember to hit that subscribe button, I really appreciate it and you'll be helping me reach my goal of 1000 subsribers.

Number 1) Single Player RPG - as stated on both Obsidian's website and on The Outer Worlds steam page. The Outer Worlds is going to be Single-Player that's right single-----player - A SINGLE PLAYER RPG - Bethesda I hope you are taking notes *Laugh*. Yes so joking aside, exactly like Fallout New Vegas this game is going to be a single player RPG something many of us Fallout fans wished The Outer Worldswould be.

Number 2) The Theme - Although The Outer Worlds is a space themed RPG it still carries over a number of similarities to Fallout New Vegas. From the visuals we can see in the trailer we have this steam-punk, retro-future, post-apocalypse setting and feel to the game. This can be seen in the retro branded companies, desolate locations, everyone just casually carrying around massive laser weaponry and also the awesome little disclaimer at the end of the trailer. It is clear that Obsidian know who they want this game to appeal to and could potentially steal a lot of Bethesda's current market if the game is done right.

Number 3) Factions - Now one of the coolest aspects of Fallout New Vegas was the Faction system. Basically for those of you who don't know in Fallout New Vegas there were several factions or organisations you could join in game - and based on what choices you made and your reputation with each faction would affect the end game. The Outer Worlds appears to be no different - from the trailer there are at least 3 main factions or companies as they call them in the trailer that we assume will be join-able throughout the game and these are Spacer's Choice, Auntie Cleo's and Vulcan...
