Hi guys and welcome to 3 minute mods. So the idea of this series is to give you a short and sweet look at different mods to give you an idea as to whether it is something you want to install into your Fallout game. Originally this series was 3 Minute mods however I thought that amount of time didn't give a very insightful look to a lot of mods I covered, so we are going with 3 minutes instead.

So today's mod is from a Mod author you will all be familiar with... MASS SHEP, this is an author who has brought us some fantastic environment mods such as the Winter and Autumn Overhauls. I personally always have one of Mass Shep's mods installed, I like to match my game to the season in real life. If you haven't tried out any environment mods, these are the ones I would highly recommend.
The mod we are covering today is the Summer Overhaul - which as the title suggests turns the Commonwealth into a lush, overgrown post-apocolyptic paradise, to quote ThreeDog it adds brown bark, green leaves, photosynthesis all that good stuff!
The visuals this mod creates are stunning, visuals similar to those in the Last of Us, buildings where nature has just taken over! The amount of plant life I'd say is probably equal if not more than that of Fallout 76, so if you like that type of wasteland, you are bound to enjoy this mod.
I did have a couple of issues I whilst playing with the mod one is that the grass seems to have this shimmering fuzzy effect - this of course could be my end although my PC is pretty good, but it's something worth taking into consideration when downloading the mod. Also in some places I had buildings, trees and other things disappearing which is not great to see. On the mod description the author says there is no need to use the combined objects line in the ini files, but it might be worth trying it as this command sometimes stops things from disappearing.
This mod is currently in beta so it is likely to be getting updates shortly. It doesn't have any DLC support yet, so that is on it's way and another important thing to note is that the mod isn't compatible with any other 'green' mods that change the vanilla trees.
Speaking of downloading, this mod is very simple to install. Just head to the mod page (the link is in the description), go to the files section, hit Mod Manager Download or Manual Download. For those using a mod manager (I'm using Nexus Mod Manager) wait for it to download then double click to install. There's no install options you need to press it will install - just make sure you uninstall any of your environment mods that may conflict before you install. If you install it manually just extract the content of the archive into your Fallout 4 data folder.
