When you first enter the station with Christine, the way forward is locked. You need to repair the near by fuse box. With 60 repair, you can fix no problem, but otherwise, you need 3 electrical fuses. Fuses are in toolboxes, which get marked on your Pip-boy once need of them is apparent. The first fuse can be found in a toolbox in the switching station, and a second can be found across from the station in some Cloud (not the stairs Cloud, the other Cloud right next to the station). The third you'll have to venture out and find using your map markers.

In any case, repair the fuse box and venture in. There's a lot of graffiti on the walls that let you know where to shoot and destroy speakers. Eventually, you find a large room with Cloud in its depths. Fact is that you need to reach a staircase at the bottom of it. You can minimize time in the Cloud by climbing on a pipe and getting close to the stair steps.

At the top of the stairs is an arrow point right. It's a trap, but it leads to a Dean's Electronics. Follow the walkway, but tread lightly once you spot the corpse. The corpse and speaker shut off terminal are protected by a frag grenade tripwire. Disable the tripwire and/or work the terminal A.S.A.P. Look next to the corpse for the skillbook.

Follow the walkway the other way to continue. Read the entries in this next room's terminal to advance the for History's Sake challenge. Past this room is an employee break room, which for some odd reason features a terminal to reset and activate the area's ventilation. Activate the terminal to clear most of Puesta Del Sol of Cloud.

In the same room as the vent control terminal, there is Ennis' Locker. The locker contains the password for the remote maintenance terminal, which you need access to in order to keep Christine friendly in the future. If you can't pick the lock, a key for it can be found at the end of the area on a desk a little bit away from the Remote Maintenance desk.

Pass Ennis' locker, you have to contend with speakers, a turret, and the fact that Christine can't jump. You can either pick the hard next nearest door, or you can travel the area's walkway circuit to eventually get behind the door and use the unlock terminal.

Either way, the goal is to get Christine access to the switching station controls. When you approach the control room elevator, she has a panic attack and asks that you find another way for her to do her part without entering the elevator.

If you got 100 science or the remote terminal password, access it now and redirect control to it. Report to Christine for her thanks.

Before leaving, get the Chinese Special Ops. book from the little "island" in the center of the switching station's final area.

Also, get the vending machine code for holorifle reinforced components, which on top of a machine against the wall near the remote maintenance terminal.

Take the elevator up as a shortcut out of the area.
