Fallout: New Vegas (Xbox One) - 1080p60 HD Walkthrough Part 299 - "Saving Sergeant Teddy"
Fallout: New Vegas - Ultimate Edition, played on Xbox One, backwards compatible since June 24, 2016.
This is (will be) a 100% walkthrough, thus including every single quest, all unique items, weapons and armor, interaction with all NPCs in the game, all 8 companions and their quests, all 4 main DLCs, all backstory and every possible ending.
I'll also be exploring everything properly and pick up any item of value, to sell and buy unique weapons and armor, and stimpaks.

Additional info:
- This quest is one of the most bugged quests in this game and certainly in my walkthrough.
- Giving her the teddy bear results in good karma, while tearing it apart results in bad karma and Legion fame.
- This quest is very similar to the unmarked quest 'Bear Necessities' in which the Mini Boomer Linsey asks the Courier to find Mr. Cuddles, another teddy bear.
- The name of this quest is a reference to the film Saving Private Ryan.
- This quest is very similar to the quest Find Mr. Nixon in Fallout 2, where you find a child's doll and have the option to brutalize it directly in front of the child in question.
- If you start a fight at the fort, occasionally Melody will flee to the fort's entrance. Along with all other characters, she can clip through the other side of the gate. The other side of the gate is in the same cell as the Fort's interior and the blip will appear on the compass. While an NPC is there you can see them by looking through two holes in the walls on either side of the gate. To fix this, do exactly the same thing I did and jump on the boxes next to Antony and Lupa, then on two wall parts on the right, and try to jump over the wall. After that go to drawbridge gate, jump on the wall parts to pass through the rock. Use 3rd person camera to use drawbridge gate, so you'll enter Caesar's part of the Fort again (you are there already). Now Melody should be in the brahmin pen.
- Melody might already be glitched outside of the gate before you got to talk to her. In that case you have to do the above twice in order to initiate and complete the quest successfully.

Summary:
The story has taken some parts from the Fallout and Fallout 2 stories, and is for the most part unrelated to its predecessor, Fallout 3.
Fallout: New Vegas takes place in 2281, four years after the events of Fallout 3, thirty-nine years after Fallout 2, and one-hundred-twenty years after Fallout. The New California Republic plays a major part in the game's story, being in a three-way struggle amongst the Caesar's Legion slavers, and the mysterious Mr. House.
