There's really only one explanation to why an area that's clearly meant to be accessible ended up not being that way arbitrarily. Clearly, the Nazis have deployed their "Unsichtbare Wand" technology. Truly, a weapon so terrifying and bone chilling.

Also, this map's slowly falling apart at the seams, I wish I know how to explain it.
