Time to take the fight to Pagan Min at the Royal Palace. Head to the front gates.
As you begin your offensive, instead of running up the street, head to the right and climb up the grapple points to gain the high ground.
Climb up until you are looking at the big red doors. You’ll be given the goal to blow open the doors with explosives, but before you do that, turn to your left and take out the soldier using a rocket launcher.
You can use this perch to clear out some of the enemy forces and help the Gold Path troops through to the next door.
Now head to the red doors and set up a C4 charge. Blow the doors open and prepare for a constant wave off enemies.
Before you enter the doors, fill up on ammo with the crate to the left of the doors. There is everything from pistol ammo to rockets, so you should be ready to roll after you stop there.
When you enter the palace there are locations throughout the map that are timed control points. When you enter the control point, enemies will stream in to try to stop you from taking over that area.
Start with the armory (top left on the mini map). When you head up into that zone, eye the doorways with crossed swords near them. These are the spawn points for new enemies in the area. If you can get the drop on the incoming enemies, you can take out a crowd of troops with a well-timed Molotov or grenade.
To capture this area, just be sure that you say in the zone once you walk into it. Survive long enough in the zone and you will successfully capture it. Once it’s captured, it will no longer have an active spawn point for enemies. So, it is very beneficial to take over these zones quickly. The faster you control them all, the lower the number of enemies you will have to face.
Next, head into the command center section. Focus your fire on the entrance points that feature the scimitar crosses on the wall.
The third and final section you must take control of is the HQ, which is the higher elevation point in the fortress. As you come head towards this zone, be mindful to stay near walls and not out in the open. There is a mounted heavy gun at the top of one of the watch points. SO, if you stay close to the walls, you won't be targeted. At this point in the mission, it is almost impossible
After successfully capturing all three zones, the royal army will mount a counter attack. There are a number of jeeps incoming so get to the heavy gun immediately. There will be a number of individual troops, half a dozen troop vehicles, all entering from below, so it's a hallway of death for them as long as you are able to stay on the heavy gun. Helicopters will also make an appearance in this battle so keep an ear out.
They will be carrying troops and heavy guns, so it's not something to ignore. There are approximately three major waves of incoming troops. The groupings are easy to handle, but it is the individual troops then ending causing the most trouble as they will be able to get around your defending troops. Keep an eye on the mini map so you are aware of any that have found away behind you.
After the royal army's counter attack has been thwarted, it is time to send a message to Pagan Min. Head over to the golden statue, drop some C4 and take him down a peg. listen to his response over the radio and your missions is complete.
