Game Story:
The game's story begins in a vacuum and never develops. There's a certain cult, and its members are called "Peggy." These friends' goal is to secure their own territory in America, where they can laugh and have fun with their guns, independent of the state. Our character, of course, symbolizes the state. As sheriffs, we attempt to arrest the leader of this cult, but we fail. That's when we're rescued by a friend who's been waiting for just such a situation (!). The story begins with us being rescued. The story broadly revolves around the polarized factions in America and the turmoil within the country caused by a group that worships guns.
This cult clearly represents Christianity in the game. However, the game is so careful to conceal this that it can feel like a rather empty cult, as the story makes no mention of its history or details. As we said, they're just a bunch of gun-obsessed lunatics. Worse yet, our main character is a complete waste of space. You have no name or backstory. At the start of the game, you only choose whether the character is masculine or feminine and how they appear in a shallow character creation screen. Other than that, all you know about the character is that he's a sheriff. While this has made it easier for Ubisoft to play the story mode in co-op, unfortunately, if you're playing solo, you don't have as much of a role in the story as in previous games.
