The speaker will tell you how he made randomly generated multilevel maps for his indie game Farlanders, a tile-based Mars colony city builder with terraforming. He'll explain common algorithms that are used for procgen including Perlin noise, and Cellular automata. How he used them and his own small inventions and tricks. Also, he'll go through his design and thought process which is the key to making procedural generation work with game mechanics.
