The Fast & Furious series is an unlikely franchise, built from a relatively low budget action movie about street racers in LA into a team of international precision driving heist specialists. But even when they were clocking quarter miles and drifting in garages, there was plenty of car goodness on tap for the enthusiasts to enjoy. From Dominic Toretto’s 900hp supercharged Charger that refuses to die and the Mk IV Supra that raced it in the finale of the first movie to the Ripsaw tank in the eight installment, the cars have remained the stars of the series even as they moved away from street racing and more into high octane thrills. There have been special builds that are a nod to hot rodders and street racers like recreating the legendary F-Bomb Camaro, to cars so specific to the needs of the movie that they had to be build from scratch like Deckard Shaw’s ramp car. Some other special pieces of history have popped up in the series, including the team stealing a rare Corvette Grand Sport and Ford GT40 as well as the series introducing the world to a new hunk of rarified metal in the Lykan Hypersport. Whether it’s classic American muscle or rare JDM creations, the Fast & Furious has really delivered on the special vehicle front. After eight movies with a ninth on the way, it’s the largest collection of cool cars ever assembled on screen. Let’s look at ten of the hottest rides from the series.
