Fast Five the Movie: Official Game is a racing game based on the fifth entry in the Fast & Furious movie franchise. This is the feature phone version of the game which was released alongside a 3D version for smartphones. The game uses the same engine as the Asphalt series, which allows for a mixture of 2D sprites and simple 3D scenery and also has mostly identical gameplay. Like those, it's an arcade racer with automatic acceleration where the player can use nitro boosts to gain extra speed. Boosts are earned by doing stealth moves or by picking up collectible boost bonuses.
Like in the smartphone version, the main game consists of ten chapters each containing a new track as well as several events. Each chapter contains a race tied to the story as well as additional race events that can be unlocked. There are a few different race modes: normal races and time attacks, takedown where the player has to destroy opponents' vehicles, and drift races where the player has to drift as much as possible. There is also a chase mode where only the leader shall be taken out, a duel mode where an opponent has to be caught and passed, elimination races where the last racer in each lap gets eliminated, survivor which involves getting away from the police and carnage where the objective is to destroy as many obstacles as possible.
