This route involves getting the kago room missile and last sec1 powerbomb during sec2 cleanup, saving around 218 frames or 3.6 seconds (this was timed by hand). The fastest way to get these items is to store a speedbooster in the large sec2 kihunter room and spaceboost or shinespark into the kago missile, but is very difficult and only saves 20-40 frames.


This video shows a more reliable way which involves a door fix right before entering the large room. It is important to start farther back in the room after data room so you can spaceboost through the door to get the fix. Doing this spaceboost optimally is somewhat difficult because you have to hold A right before the transition ends.



In order to destroy the bomb blocks when re-entering the large room with a single spaceboost, you must pass very low through the door. Doing this results in a total timesave of around 250 frames instead.
