After experimenting with the Death boss fight in Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, I discovered a quicker kill on the second phase of the fight that can save roughly 0.4 seconds on both my Personal Best speedrun and the current World Record. The strategy involves a similar setup to the first phase of the Dracula fight, where you are jump-whipping then throwing a subweapon on the way down.
