Fastest To OVER 9000: Battle of the GOATs
90IT'S OVER 9000! This video compares the progression of all time greats in their respective domains toward the "OVER 9000" milestone for different metrics within each domain.

For this video, the time scale is the time since a given entity came into existence or started its run toward 9000. For manga characters, time starts counting from the date the first chapter was released to the chapter where the character achieved over 9000 of the given metric. For sports, time starts counting when the player's first professional season starts. For the DataDaft, the elephant and bitcoin, time starts at creation/conception. For Steam, time starts when the first game is offered.
Some observations on the progression of each entity toward 9000:
DataDaft - Slow initial progress, boosted greatly by popularity of DBZ power levels over time video.
Tom Brady - Consistent strong performance after his first season; also common rack up 3000+ passing yards per season in the modern NFL.
Michael Jordan - He started scoring at a high rate from day 1. Extremely impressive progression hindered by an injury in his second season.
Goku - Goku rises to meet any challenge. As soon as he was challenged with enemies with power levels over 9000, he had to raise his level.
Naruto - A strong start with a massive Kage Bunshin in the first chapter. Other large scale shadow clone uses include the fight against Gaara, Kimimaro and finally the wind elemental training.
Bitcoin - Spent a long time worth little to nothing, but it went to the moon in 2017. (Sorry DogeCoin, you probably won't hit 9000 any time soon).
Steam - Progress grew fast after wide adoption of digital gaming and rise of indie games.
Luffy - It turns out Luffy doesn't actually defeat that many enemies until he declares war on the world government in Enies Lobby and starts clobbering random marines. Goes over 9000 in one fell swoop by defeating 50,000 fishmen during the fishman island arc.
Roger Federer - The most impressive entry on the list. Steady progress only made possible by extreme consistency and health over a very long tennis career.
Elephant - Elephant included for scale. Estimate based on a medium-weight African Bull elephant. They have a 22 month gestation period and are born at 250-300 pounds.
Note: this video is not meant to be a "fair" comparison. Comparing different metrics across different domains results in applies to oranges comparisons, so it could certainly be considered more difficult to reach 9000 in some domains than others. For example, Roger Federer reaching 9000 aces over a career is an incredible feat that only a few players have ever done, whereas many NBA and NFL players have reached 9000 points and passing yards.
