The night after visiting the ruin, Rei dreams of entering a large, old-fashioned manor. As she explores, she finds an old camera, and has an encounter with the lost spirits of a woman and child. Looking for a way out, Rei meets somebody else in the manor, a woman who crouches to the floor, muttering to herself. When Rei tries to talk to her, another woman appears, this one covered in tattoos. Rei flees and the tattooed woman pursues, her fingers briefly touching Rei's back. Rei runs through the manor's entrance doors and wakes up in her bed with a terrible pain in her back.

Back in the real world, Rei receives a letter from Kei Amakura, an old friend of Yuu, who mentions a Camera Obscura. Rei looks in Yuu's Room and finds a camera just like the one in her dream, only this one is broken. Even more mysteriously, when she develops the old film inside the camera, she reveals a photograph of the muttering woman from her dream.

The following night, Rei dreams of the manor again. Again, she follows the rambling woman and tries to talk to her; she finds a Burnt Passport, and as she starts to leave, the woman calls after her, begging to be woken up.

When Rei wakes, she receives a phone call from Miku, who has researched the photograph from the old camera and discovered that the woman's name is Yoshino Takigawa – the same as the name on the passport. Rei visits the hospital where Yoshino is comatose, and Yoshino disappears before her eyes, leaving behind nothing but a black stain.

Dreaming of the manor once more, Rei returns to the room where Yoshino was crouching, and finds that Yoshino is now a ghost, still trapped in the manor.
