After finishing the whole main story of this game as one of the three main protagonists; Yuri, Ren, and Miu, together facing the darkness of the curse on the mountain, now its time for an secret fourth one to joins in the nightmare too; Ayane from the "Dead or Ailve / Ninja Giaden" series, an ninja held from the Mugen Tenshin clan.
Unlike the first three before her, Ayane is powerless at first, as her sword cannot harm an ghosts ever... So instead, she been granted an spiritual power held from the forbidden arts, making her being close to the realm of the dead, yet she's still an living being compares to them, and her only weapon beside the Obscura Camera as Yuri and Ren has, even for Miu to borrow it from Yuri, Ayane has an spiritual flash light, that can only stun evil and unrested spirits, only for an temporary time.
As further in her progress of her own story, Ayane met an young girl named Tsumugi, whose somehow been troubled in her own life, as she's hated her own her self, wishing herself to be dead instead... But then, Ayane gave her an bracelet, which is in case to keep tracks on her from ridding her own life away, with an spiritual purple threads that can follow her traces. However though, it mustn't be used when near ghosts as its can make them feel it and being suspicious on the surroundings, in case to find you... So basically, Ayane's scenes here is more like stealth based than attacking them with an camera and exorcist them away. (Thinks like Metal Gear Solid and Assassin's Creed...)
