Fatal Fury's Secret Origin - A Fighting Game history deep dive
36Street Fighter and Fatal Fury are two of fighting games oldest franchises. They both came out within mere months of each other and that always made me wonder. "Did SNK copy Capcom?" The answer isn't as straight forward as you thin. In this deep dive we're going to solve this mystery and who knows you might even learn something new about fighting game history.
Fun fact, this video was supposed to be a weird fighting games on the Fatal Fury trilogy. Although I soon realized I was stretching the detention of the series. WFG is for the fighters that are truly out there, not games everyone knows. It would be like if I had a weird movies show and talked about a David Lynch film. Instead of scrapping the research I compiled it into a fighting game history video because I do find this debacle interesting. I like how it turned out although I have a ton of dev notes for FF2 and FF3 so maybe one day I'll turn that into something as. I've been sitting on this video for weeks and just didn't feel like uploading it.
