Fate of the Ancient - Gameplay - (Unreal Engine 4 Game School Collaborative Project) - Build v1.13.1
This is Fate of the Ancient! A 3D Unreal Engine 4 Game Collaborative Project I had the great chance of being-part-of/working on. I contributed/worked with an amazing team of 18 great and skilled peers (Artists/Programmers/Designers/+). This was done while at school and tasked/guided/mentored/produced by our prof. Chris Khuong.

More info: For this school project, we simulated working in a game environment studio with 18 students that qualify into many disciplines. Art (3D Modeling + 2D Art) Programming and Design guided by our professor Chris Khuong to develop an Unreal Engine 4 school game project during about five to six months of development. (Starting around the end of January 2021 - Presented on May 13th 2021 (Build v1.13.1) for what you see in the video).
My role: I am credited as Principal 3D Modeler (focus on 3D environment art + Weapons [Hammer and Small Axe]) for this project. But I had the chance of experiencing a little bit more of other areas, which I am, very, very thankful. I am happy with everything I got to experience in the development. I did 3D models based on the amazing concept art from my 2D art/2D-lead peers (heavy environment focused plus pickups / about 100+ models / Unreal marks around 700+ / Several modular-style / PS: I had some freedoms with some assets sometimes), vfx (emphasis on falling leafs, tree-portal, pickups [idle auras/activation icons/grab], fire torches/braziers/fog/etc.), early material shader work for trees and bushes, etc. some very light blueprint work/organization for props/pickups (rotation/composition), texturing, improved my 3D skills, did a little bit of early sketching (pre-production), helped a little bit with the design document (emphasis on animation pre-planning + early sound recompilation + vfx areas). I also got to do some early sketches for level designs + light early grayboxing to explore early level directions (heavy lord of the rings influences / mines of moria idea), and got to support/throw/brainstorm/bounce ideas with the early design team and programmers towards early story directions and more areas during the pre-production design phase.

Game contains sounds made by the team (Audio member/s) and external/outsourced sounds. Music made by one of our team game audio artist peer (from my understanding). Any sounds you hear in this specific video are not made by me (uploader).
Note: I was not related/involved to the outsourcing of vfx/audio beyond pre-production. I apologize deeply if I got the credits wrong in there. Contact me if you are one of the authors and were not credited. I will fix it as fast as possible. Thank you.
