Fate/Zero - Anime Review
Welcome to my review of the 25 episode anime series, Fate/Zero, which released in 2011 and is the prequel to Fate/Stay Night. Taking place ten years prior to the events of Fate/Stay Night, Fate/Zero follows Kiritsugu Emiya, Shirou Emiya's adoptive father on his quest to obtain the Holy Grail. Spoiler warning from 6:57 on. I really enjoyed all of the new characters in this series, particularly Waver Velvet, his servant, Rider, and Kariya Matou. I mentioned Kariya quite a bit in this review, but I really found his story quite compelling and I am very interested in watching the Heaven's Feel movies because that is supposed to be based on the Sakura (his niece) route from the original visual novel. The animation studio behind Fate/Zero is Ufotable and they did an excellent job with the series, especially the battles. I said this during the video, but I'll reiterate, Fate/Stay Night is for people who enjoy the waifu stuff, while Fate/Zero focuses more on battles. Overall, I enjoyed both, but prefer Fate/Zero. My next Fate review will be the 2010 movie adaption of Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works by Studio Deen, then the 2015 Unlimited Blade Works anime series by Ufotable, but after that I don't know. Please leave suggestions of other Fate series that I should watch. Thanks for watching, let me know your thoughts in the comments down below, and have a great day!
