Trivia game by Exidy-- expensive to produce and not much on returns, which kept it from hanging around arcades too long. With 4 buttons on the odd cabinet (shaped a bit like a jukebox!) you select one of the multiple choice answers to trivia questions about History, Sports, Entertainment or Grab Bag (or with the expansion pack FAX 2 there's also World Travel, Movies & TV and Potpourri). With each correct answer you will propel a wild-haired guy up a series of ladders to reach a certain ranking-- like Novice, Beginner, Smart, Brain Child, etc. You can play simultaneously with a 2nd player, and whoever answers first gets the points. A timer will tick down and you MUST answer as quickly as you can-- running out of time altogether ends the game. You may get extra time later in the game. If you reach the very top (Genius or something of that nature) you can't climb any higher and get a bit of extra time to answer as many questions as you can for more points. But watch that timer! A wrong answer isn't the end; you'll answer another question. 3 skill levels to choose from, and the easiest setting is generally pretty easy. An okay trivia game that disappeared quickly from arcades. Try this, or maybe other trivia games around the same time (Trivial Pursuit by Bally/Sente is another good one).
