Faxanadu Video Walkthrough
332At the request of PrexicGaming here at YouTube, I present to you a video walkthrough, playthrough, runthrough, etc of the NES game Faxanadu.
While I do go through the whole game without too much trouble, I don't actually buy everything you can. I was thinking at one point I would just grind for money until I had enough to buy the death spell and the magic shield, but I don't like wasting time like that if it can be helped, so I pass those over. There are a few spots where I spend a minute or two getting money for some upgrades as you'll see, but I don't waste too much time doing so. The video would have been quite longer if I wanted the shield and the spells I missed.
Speaking of things I don't get, you'll notice I don't bother actually picking up the pendant. If you want to when you play, please by all means, go for it. While it's supposed to help you out, it actually (due to programming error from what I've read) weakens you a bit, so monsters are harder to kill. Since you don't have to actually pick it up, I don't....
You'll notice that the end boss is quite a joke when you come prepared. Grabbing the ointment in the final area all the while using those wing boots to get to the final room makes things a whole lot easier. I was sort of hoping though I would have killed the boss while floating, but oh well.
