On Thursday, April 29, the FDA announced it is working towards banning menthol cigarettes and flavored, mass-produced cigars.

Health officials say the move is expected to improve the health outcomes of certain groups more likely to use those products.

Locally, the ban is being applauded by some, while some business owners are questioning the purpose of the ban and feel their businesses will take a hit.
