This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the Famicom Disk System game Akai Yousai, better known for it's US counterpart for the NES: Jackal.

There are quite a few differences between the two games. This one doesn't have the first stage the NES version had, and all the level layouts were actually a bit different as well. Even one of the bosses is different (in the name version, the ship is sitting in the water in a horizontal line, while here it's vertical).

After beating a stage, you don't get a screen based on whether or not you died in the level or passed it without getting hit. The last level I also quite shorter than the NES versions last level.

But even with all these changes, it was no match for me. I had played Jackal a ton of times back in the day (it was one of my favorite games I owned), so a game where it's a bit less than what I consider normal was simply too easy. It was still fun though.
