This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the Famicom Disk System game Otocky.

This was quite the unique game, and quite well done considering the system it's for. Every shot you do makes a noise, and depending on the current instrument and direction you shoot, a different sound will play. And the sound effects sort of go along with the music, which is nice.

In order to get to the boss part of each stage, you need to find enough notes, which will build up on the bottom of the screen. If you don't get enough by the time you reach the end of the stage, it loops back to the beginning and you have a chance to try again with the notes you missed before. Some stages were easy enough to do since the things you could shoot were in plane sight, but some later stages it wasn't as easy to figure out what you needed to shoot at.

I think for the most part I get to the boss without having to loop back, but there might have been one or two stages (most likely the last few stages) where I didn't get enough. That's also why you also see me shooting like a crazed maniac. I did that to try to find the notes, and to also play some music... :P

Thankfully the bosses were rather easy as you'll see. You just have to keep shooting at the holes, though you also need to beware of enemies flying out of them now and then.

I'm sure there were better weapons and whatnot to use for each stage, but I think I just went gung-ho and collected everything I could when I could.
