Hi y'all, and welcome to a new video series, where I LTC Awakening. The catch? I can only use male units. Here's a list of all the rules for the run.

- Normal/Classic
- All 1st generation male characters outside of spotpass must be recruited.
- I can only use male units for map progression.
- Female units can't be deployed/see combat if force deployed.
- The first 4 paralogues must be visited ASAP. Paralogue 17 can only be visited after chapter 18 (I ended up skipping it)
- Map Skirmishes can't be fought.
- Renown is banned
- Travelling Merchants are banned.
- Sparkling tiles are banned

ANNOTATIONS:
Premonition - 0:00
Prologue - 0:25
Chapter 1 - 1:55
Chapter 2 - 3:58
Chapter 3 - 6:42
Chapter 3x (Paralogue 1) - 10:43

The Premonition is cleared in 2 turns.

STRATEGY:
I need to turn off the tutorial slides because I can't use pair up without them. Robin/Chrom needs it for a dual strike on PP2. It doesn't really matter who scores the kill, since these versions don't really exist.

Prologue is cleared in 3 turns.

UNITS:
Chrom - The lord of the game, and a decent unit. I want to train him up a bit so some maps can be consistent.
Robin - The avatar of Awakening, known for being ridiculously broken. I set his boon/bane to +Speed/-Luck for exactly 1 chapter, but it helps to double earlier, obviously.
Frederick - The early game prepromote that's a get out of jail free card, except he trashes the whole complex in the process.

STRATEGY: Robin is the furthest ahead, and could drop off Frederick 1 tile ahead. A 2 turn is possible, but it relies on Robin nailing a bunch of dual strikes with Frederick.

Chapter 1 is cleared in 2 turns.

UNITS:
Virion - Early game chip. Kinda funny to have contribute anyways.

STRATEGY:
This map is where Robin's Speed boon actually comes into play. He's able to double all of the Risen on turn 2, which means that Frederick doesn't need to dual strike. It makes for a more consistent map in general. Also Chrom gets some EXP.

Chapter 2 is cleared in 3 turns.

UNITS:
Stahl - Translated from German as Steel, his unit performance is about the same. A consistently decent mount that only needs D lances in later maps (oddly in character).
Vaike - I thought he could be a rally bot, but at least he gives good pair up bonuses.

STRATEGY:
It's literally a road, just go straight up with Robin in Stahl's saddles on turn 1, then switch to Robin for the Enemy Phase and the other 2 turns. Chrom gets some EXO here as well.

Chapter 3 is cleared in 4 turns.

UNITS:
Kellam - An Armor Knight with cool pair up bonuses.

STRATEGY:
I forgot that Frederick gives +1 movement to some units, and that costed me a turn. But hey, more EXP for Robin. More seriously, the door kinda halted progress a bit.

Paralogue 1 is cleared in 5 turns.

UNITS:
Donnel - Probably the worst unit in Awakening, with horrible bases and growths that aren't even that good.

STRATEGY:
Probably another place where I may have lost a turn, but it was important to get the rescue staff, so it evens out tbh. Chrom and Stahl also get some EXP, which is nice.
