FE3H Loop 3 (VW) Chapter 13: Reunion at Dawn
0Well, here we are. I've never played this route before, so even though we'll be retreading some familiar battles yet again, I don't actually know what's going to happen with the Alliance. After all, their whole thing in the other two stories has been about trying to keep themselves out of the war and getting crushed.
And it begins with Claude waiting in the ruins of the Garreg Mach. I like the way it contrasts with the other stories so far! In Silver Snow, we saw Edelgard, crossed blades, and knew we could never reconcile our differences before she disappeared. In Azure Moon, we found Dimitri, scarred by the war and lost in aimless rage. Here, in Verdant Wind, we see a friendly face who returned to keep his promise and brought enough food to share.
Of course, there's still the problem of the thieves who have looted the place. There's no getting around that. I guess it's up to Boyleth and Claude to clear them out.
So, Claude has gotten a pretty significant upgrade! He's now a Wyvern Master, a class unique to him that, incredibly, makes him a flying archer. Imagine! Technically, any flying unit can be an archer, but this is the only flying class that actually gives a boost to bow skills. Also, he has the Failnaught in his inventory, and that means we can get a peek at its unique Combat Art, Fallen Star. With +10 Might, +30 Hit, and a 2-3 range, it also gives the user perfect evasion in their next combat round. Pretty sweet, if you ask me!
Oh, also, everyone has their new looks. Lorenz finally has his good hair! Marianne is finally getting enough sleep! Raphael got sideburns! Ignatz... well, his change is inoffensive.
