The fast slide jump has been fixed in versions higher than v1.07. I've recently found this trick by accident. I don't know how many seconds it saves as I am not a speedrunner, but still, it should be useful for some.

Achieved by hanging onto the edge / cliff of a platform / house / ..., killing yourself by taking fall damage and then - still hanging on the edge while respawning - mashing the jump button.
