So, the girls finally get to face Kefka in a all-out battle! Let us have a look at his most devastating moves: Forsaken and Hyperdrive. Forsaken is unblockable non-runicable non-elemental damage to all targets. If it happens, it is game over. Hyperdrive is the same, but single target. Also, Hyperdrive is only used as a counterattack below 30000 HP. Also, Forsaken does cost a few MP, while Hyperdrive does not. He also has stuff like Ultima, but we will not have to care about this.
So, as with a lot of challenges the main problem is Forsaken. He starts using it at about 32000 HP left, which is way too many to burn away even with Super Balls. I thought about using Jump to get away with it, ut possible Hyperdrive counterattacks when landing made me reconsider and take on other tactics: namely the waiting game. Yep, I wait patiently for a few hours until Kefka finally runs out of MP and cannot do Forsaken any more. Celes cannot be killed by Kefkas attacks while he is still at high health, so this only leaves Hyperdrive afterwards. However, as long as he is casting Forsaken (or trying to do so as he has not enough MP), he won't be countering at all, so to be on the safe side Celes could just use Super Balls when he is casting and do nothing elsewise. Perfectly safe kill. Though, I still had Terra around, which greatly sped up the later parts. While Celes would still play it safe, terra would just go on throwing Super Ball after Super Ball while Celes played it safe, only throwing during Forsaken casts. You also see me Runic with Celes while waiting. This is to make things for Terra even safer, as Hyperdrive can be runiced. He didn't cast it in 5 tries I loaded safe state (from after his MP deplenished) and killed him though, wanted to show that in a video but it wasn't to be.
