Theft and Insurance Fraud aka Steroids & Speed.

Several enemies in the game, Vice, Prowler, Bandit and Magic Pot, are able to steal an item from one's inventory. Usually, this is highly undesirable as the stolen item can be lost permanently if the enemy that stole the item is able to escape from the battle. If, however, one kills the enemy after an item has been stolen, one will regain the item and one will be able to perform the so-called Extended W-Item Glitch.

The enemy Prowler will use either Steal, Grind or Seize before it leaves the battle. Steal and Grind will actually steal an item from one's inventory and are used with a probability of 1/4 each. Seize, on the other hand, is used with a probability of 1/2 but does not remove an item from one's inventory.

Additionally, the item that is to be stolen is chosen randomly. Only items that cannot be sold cannot be stolen.

As a result, this segment is, to an even more aggravating extent than stealing Right Arms from Bombs, a terrible luck fest. Not only does one have to encounter a Prowler but also does he have to use Steal or Grind and steal a Speed Source (you will see why it has to be a Speed Source in the next segment). Afterwards, the duplication should be performed as quickly as possible, which, unfortunately, makes it very easy to make mistakes, forcing one to redo all of this.
