BATTLE STRATEGY
The strategy is the same for all the battles: use Aerith essentially as an healer
and use Cloud and Barret as the attackers.
The combat flow is:
1) Charge your ATB by attacking and parrying
2) Build enemy's pressure with Focused Thrust and Focused Shot (L1+triagle) and if Aerith is not needed to heal use her Ray of Judgment (L1+X) to build pressure
3) When enemy is staggered, hit him fast by rotating your characters and using Triple Slash,
Maximum Fury, Ray of Judgment (L1+X)
4) When your hp is low use aerith's ability Prayer (L1+O) or chakra (L1+O) and when some ally
is dead, revive him as soon as you can with the revival materia.
I always used Barret to impress rhytm at the combat and to regain a little peace from fast
moments of attacks. The trick is that the enemy will focus his attention on the character you are currently controlling. So Barret, since he's a long ranged attacker, can divert the enemy's attention on him taking the enemy far away from the other 2 party members. Use limit breaks
when enemy is staggered if you can.
The key is to be fast and use shortcuts.
NOTE: When you are facing Bahamut be sure that before he will deliver his megaflare attack
Aerith has cast the Manawall magic to half the damage and have the some of the allies alive.
I hope this helps.
Enjoy :)
