----------

YES I finally did it!!! It was a Christmas miracle (I did this Christmas night). I seriously think my cousin (xwhoaitstrin) is good luck...after almost 30 attempts during the past couple months, the second time I try it while she's visiting, I'm successful. She's magic I tell you...

Once you get BFA's HP below 60,000, it's pretty much all luck from there. If you waited for the setup where Rikku gets two turns and another character gets a turn before BFA, you'll be able to use two Supreme Gems before BFA's next turn and you can switch out the other character who had a turn for Tidus who will then Talk so that BFA can't do anything. In the next turn, both Tidus and Rikku should have a turn before BFA again, so with Tidus talking a second time, if you're lucky, Rikku can get off about 3 more Supreme Gems before BFA can do anything. At that point, BFA probably still has over 10,000 HP, meaning you'd need at least two more Supreme Gems to kill him. Bring back in your tank and just PRAY PRAY PRAY that there is a turn where BFA doesn't use his sword swing or attack Rikku. Oh and also pray that the Yu Pagodas don't curse your tank (supposedly Reflect is supposed to block curse, but in another playthrough Auron got hit with Curse even when I used a Star Curtain on him so I'm not sure how to block it). If you can get off two more Supreme Gems, Zombie and damage him enough with Mega Potions to where you only need one Supreme Gem, or (as in my case =D) do enough damage with just Mega Potions...dance my friend. Dance and sing, and do not care about anybody who sees you doing so.

----------

NSG = No Sphere Grid
-Never activate any node on your Sphere Grid.

NS = No Summoning
-Never use Yuna's "Summon" command to summon an Aeon.
-There are two exceptions to this rule.
--During the third forced fight in Besaid against Garuda, Yuna is forced to summon Valefor.
--At the exit of Via Purifico, Yuna is forced to summon Aeons against Issaru.
-Those are the only two exceptions. You may never summon an Aeon any other time, not even against Belgamine. You may, however, accept her challenge and simply escape in order to get the items she gives you.

NO = No Overdrives
-Never use an overdrive.
-There are two exceptions to this rule.
--In the first "boss" fight in Zanarkand against Sinspawn Ammes, Auron is forced to use his Overdrive "Dragon Fang."
--After the scene at the Moonflow where you get Rikku back, she is forced to use her overdrive "Mix" against a Bunyip.
-Those are the only two exceptions. In Kilika, when Kimahri is forced to Lancet the Ragora, filling up his Overdrive, you may not use his Overdrive afterwards.

Equipment:

Notes:

-Weapon/Armor abilities listed in CAPS are vital for the fight against BFA. The abilities listed normally can be very helpful against BFA, but are not necessary. The abilities in parenthesis were simply on the armor already when I used its empty slots to customize, and have no other meaning whatsover for this battle.

-Though Evade and Counter is listed as a necessary ability for Auron and Kimahri, Counterattack also works just as well for this battle.

Tidus:
-Weapon: Sonic Steel
--Abilities: FIRST STRIKE
-Armor: Haste Shield
--Abilities: (Sleep Ward), Auto-Haste, STONEPROOF

Yuna:
-Weapon: [Initially] Wind Rod
--Abilities: (Magic +5%), First Strike
[Switch to] Healing Rod
--Abilities: (Piercing), Sensor, ALCHEMY, ZOMBIESTRIKE
-Armor: Phoenix Ring
--Abilities: (HP +5%), STONEPROOF, AUTO-PHOENIX, Auto-Haste

Auron:
-Weapon: [Initially] Masamune
--Abilities: (Break Damage Limit), (Triple Overdrive), First Strike, (Counterattack)
[Switch to] Kotetsu
--Abilities: EVADE AND COUNTER, ALCHEMY, ZOMBIESTRIKE, Poisonstrike
-Armor: Phoenix Bracer
--Abilities: STONEPROOF, AUTO-POTION, AUTO-PROTECT, AUTO-PHOENIX

Kimahri:
-Weapon: Dragoon Lance
--Abilities: Magic Counter, EVADE AND COUNTER, ZOMBIESTRIKE, ALCHEMY
-Armor: Phoenix Armlet
--Abilities: STONEPROOF, AUTO-POTION, AUTO-PROTECT, AUTO-PHOENIX

Wakka:
-Weapon: Comeback
--Abilities: (Strength +5%), Zombiestrike, Alchemy, Poisonstrike
-Armor: Miracle Comeback
--Abilities: (HP +5%), STONEPROOF, AUTO-PHOENIX, Auto-Haste

Lulu: Doesn't matter, you don't use her in this battle.

Rikku:
-Weapon: Survivor
--Abilities: (Strength +5%), ALCHEMY
-Armor: Haste Targe
--Abilities: (SOS Protect), AUTO-HASTE, STONEPROOF
