No Sphere Grid, No Summons, No Customize, No Overdrives, No Regular Items, No Escape, No 'No Encounters', No Blitzball\n\nFun battle, doesn't require much luck if you know how Evrae's attacks and AI works. The main thing is just not to have Rikku in the active party for Stone Gaze (since she's the only one who can cure petrification). Also keep an eye on Evrae's HP and don't let it drop below 1/3 (triggering the Haste phase) until you're ready. It's best to let Cid's missiles do the damage to trigger Haste because then you don't need to do as much with items afterwards.\n\nPutting Rikku under Protect is a good idea because then she can survive a physical attack should Evrae connect through Darkness (which can happen and did to me late on in the battle).\n\nFirst time I did this battle I actually managed without using any Poison Fangs (just Smoke Bombs) by getting lucky with Cid being able to Pull Back before one of the Poison Breaths in the Haste phase. In this attempt for the recording it didn't work out that way so I had to survive two Poison Breaths. I use a little trick -- a petrified character isn't affected by Poison Breath so it's a way to keep a second character alive, which means you can heal Auron with Rikku and have him take another Poison Breath.
