FFX -- OSGKO -- Sanctuary Keeper\n\nOwn Sphere Grid, Kimahri Only\n\n\nStats: HP 1844, Str 43, Agi 13, Luck 26\n\nEquipment: Sonic Lance (First Strike), Spirit Lance (Double OD, No AP), Dragoon Lance (Evade & Counter, Magic Counter, Slowtouch), Acropolis (Auto-Potion, Auto-Haste, Ribbon, Mag Def +10%), Protect Armlet (SOS-Protect, HP +25%)\n\n\nFirstly, a confession: I didn't actually play 99 Blitzball Leagues to get the Dark Matter I needed to get Ribbon. I didn't know if the battle could be realistically won even with Ribbon so I didn't feel like spending hours and hours playing Blitzball potentially for nothing. I cheated in the Dark Matter to save time, it's not as if winning Blitzball leagues takes any luck or skill.\n\nTo win I needed to stop Sanctuary Keeper healing. This can be accomplished by inflicting Poison via Bad Breath (forcing it to use Esuna), however there is only a 10% chance of this succeeding and realistically you need to get Bad Breath to inflict Poison twice. So already the odds of winning are at 1 in 100.\n\nI managed to win the first time I got Bad Breath to work twice. This was partly because I got quite lucky with critical hits but also because I set things up to eliminate healing time. This is why I have deliberately kept Kimahri's HP low, so that all of Sanctuary Keeper's attacks deal more than half his HP, thus activating Auto-Potion and getting him back to full health. It's crucial to keep HP full because otherwise the Spirit Lance deals less damage and it's by far the best weapon to be using since Sanctie's Def is so high.\n\nThe beginning of the battle was a bit complicated since I wanted Kimahri to be under Shell but not Protect. I accomplished this by using Mighty Guard with SOS-Protect active (the Protect goes when you unequip the SOS-Protect but the Shell stays). There's a little more to it than that -- you only have time to do this if Sanctie is under Slow (hence the Slowtouch + Evade & Counter weapon), so this can go wrong too... Also I had to carry a single Potion and put some HP +% on my Protect Armlet since otherwise I wouldn't have been at SOS-HP when I wanted to use Mighty Guard.
