One of the things that comes up a lot around the rmt complaints within the ffxiv community and square enix saying how they want ff14 to move forward with real money and gil is gil tokens. we see gold token in wow and eve online has had a system for years... but should final fantasy join them? Many games have systems like this and the concern is pay to win, inflation, selling gil leading to players jacking with the market etc. Lets discuss whether or not this has done those things in other games and what it may look like if ffxiv decides to put any for of gil token in where in game currency and money on the lodestone for cosmetics, other games or subscription time could be exchanged for one another.
