FFXIV Heavensward The Cuff of the Son
The Cuff of the Son Aka A6.
This one is neat, you take out some standard trash mobs and then it's a boss time. Four bosses but there's a checkpoint after beating each one. These battles will involve some degree of tank swapping as well.
2:35-Blaster. He deploys mines throughout the fight. Stay away from them and move him away if necessary. If you walk into a mine it will explode in a rather large radius so don't set them off. Someone did but I was too far away to get caught in it in this vid.
If marked, you will have copies of Blaster created on your position. These copies hurt you upon spawning so spread out. They will then dash off like Ifrit in the direction they are facing.
5:26-Brawler. Needs to be faced away from the party. Tanks will most likely need to swap here after 3 stacks of vulnerability.
This boss doesn't use many cast bars, you have to watch his hands as he will transform them throughout the fight. If it is Single Drill, that means you should spread out and get away from him to reduce damage. If it's Single Laser it's up to the tank to soak it up but it WILL hurt them a lot. If it's double laser that means the party wants to stack.
8:16-Swindler. This guy's main gimmick revolves around giving you a height related debuff. If you get the purple colored high debuff go to a lower platform, if you get the red colored low debuff go to a higher platform. Failure to go to the correct platform and you'll suffer vulnerability. He has several unavoidable AoEs as well so you may most likely die.
Occasionally a player will be marked with some orbs over it. The number of orbs is the number of players needed to stack in it. Failure to do so or the wrong number will result in nasty damage and vulnerability. Some groups are really good at this but we had issues here with this.
11:19-Vortexer. This guy loves creating lava AoEs around the room and then hitting everyone with unavoidable knockback to try to knock you into them. He will also mark a player and summon a water at their location. After this, at least one player with a shiva ring needs to freeze the water so it will become an ice rock.
Do note shiva ice rings will leave behind ice AoEs that will want to avoid walking into or being knocked back into as well.
A little bit after the water is frozen, the boss will begin to cast Ultra Flash, get behind the ice rock to survive or else you'll be annihilated.
He's not really too tough.
