This is the normal mode of the new trial in Patch 3.2. It's not too hard. I'm going to wing it here and type up my observations though to help, not 100% sure on things yet. He has basically no cast bars so hard to really name his moves.
Phase 1: The main thing here is he doesn't have cast bars so you have to watch his moves. He cease attacking to wind up and prepare a frontal attack. If you are in front of him you'll get knocked back, take big damage and suffer from vulnerability.
If a player is targeted with the blue orbs and the arrows, that means stack on them.
If you are targeted with a green mark on your head spread out and get away from everyone else.
Near the end he will spawn a bunch of Adds and prepare to Limit Break you. Just defeat the Adds, they aren't hard and it gives you a lot of time. The time you have left is displayed on a meter.
After the Adds are dealt with it's onto the next phase.
Phase 2 begins with him doing a big attack. He will then start readying to punch and create blue AoEs. Don't stand in them but don't go too far, they create shockwaves even if avoided. Said shockwaves can knock you off just like in Titan!
If marked, go to the opposite side of the room as the other marked player. It can creep up on you fast. You will be hit with some nasty damage but this way it won't hit the rest of the party. It seemed very effective for the marked players to go to the left and the right while the party stays in the middle.
Before he spawns adds he will hit you with a knockback move, just don't be too close to the edge when he casts it or you can fall off. He can use this move at other times during the fight too so be on your guard.
When the Adds spawn, kill the Storm of Words ASAP and then the rest. The Storm's death will create a windy area that you'll need to prevent wiping by standing in a few moments later. He will try to knock you out of the wind but just walk back in.
When he starts charging up the green energy blasts it means spread out since it'll do more if you are close to other party members.
When he holds the two orbs of energy in his hands..I believe that move is unavoidable but not 100% sure.
Not sure on the exact mechanics of the two spires/towers but I believe you share the damage by stacking and need to? Not 100% sure I've never seen what happens if the towers are ignored.
This is the battle featuring Sephirot aka The Fiend from FFVI, he was part of the Warring Triad in that game too. It's well done. I like how it mixes the new and the old with the music. FFVI music for the first phase and then a new When Worlds Collide esque theme for the second phase. Good stuff.
He also drops a Triple Triad Card and was kind enough to give it to me on my second completion.
