As more poeple move from wow to ffxiv with battle for azeroth aming shadowbringers look that much more appealing, this is a short translation to a beginner guide written by desibear:

There are many other great beginner guides out there as well as phrases you come across in game you may be lost on.. so if you find one and need help understanding it in wow terms, just ask and we would be happy to try to explain it in the vocab wow uses.

So many great guides are out therefore ff14 stormblood for new players, but wow players in particular do know how to play mmos and just need that help understanding what terms and phrases mean in the context of what they would have called things in wow. many of the same things exist in final fantasy and this is just to help you make the jump!
