age of empires 2 conquerors is not a free game despite the msn gaming zone being closed down.
No official support being given by microsoft no official patchup packs being released by them.
they will still want to hold on to there copyright so I cannot give you any links related to downloads because it is still being sold by them.

For those people who have the original CD ROM or DVD with age of empires 2 conquerors here is a patch up multiplayer client installation.
