Vidit Gujrathi and Pentala Harikrishna will have their last attempt to the Candidates 2022 at the Belgrade GP. Vidit is in Pool C along with Rapport, Fedoseev and Shirov. Harikrishna will compete in Pool B with Giri, Vitiugov and Tabatabaei. The Pool stage will be a double Round-Robin event of six games. The winner of each pool will advance to the Semi-finals which will also be a battle of two Classical games.

Time control: 90 Minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the remaining moves with 30 seconds cumulative increment for each move starting from the first move.
