He faces his team's toughest rivals in their division, the Texas Rangers. These teams have former teammates goes to each other, which makes their rivalry more fierce and intense.

Both teams have similar histories. Established as expansion franchises in 1961, the Los Angeles Angels have been based in Anaheim since 1966 while the Texas Rangers moved from Washington to Minnesota, finally settling down in Arlington in 1972.
