The video game tales a nostalgic and rather surreal story blending fantasy and reality of a Japanese adolescence enamoured by the kaiju and superheroes gracing the TV screen. Attack of the Friday Monsters! isn’t far removed from a visual novel, and is themed around childhood wonder and imagination. This is less a game and more an interactive novel or film.
