Fighting Fantasy: Temple of Terror - PC - Attempt One (Blind)
A first attempt at completing the Tin Man Games port of Temple of Terror. This adventure gamebook was originally released on paperback in 1985. Unlike the other FF adventures I've done so far, I never had this one as a kid, so it was a brand new experience for me.
It's the fourteenth book in the Fighting Fantasy series. You play a seasoned adventurer, who makes a dangerous journey to the lost city of Vatos, on a quest to find some magic artefacts, and defeat the evil sorcerer, Malbordus.
This is standard FF rules, but instead of choosing a potion, you now choose four spells to learn at the start of the adventure. It's not quite as relentless as my previous FF playthrough, Caverns of the Snow Witch, but it still took many tries to beat. There are some tough mandatory encounters and the intended path even has an instant death roll or two. I figured you wouldn't want to keep seeing me die to those, so I won't be showing every single attempt, but still a good amount of them. To avoid confusion, I will number them sequentially in the playlist, even though there might have been other attempts in-between. I'll be playing on Hardcore Hero for the blind attempts, but I do the optimal solution on Adventurer to get the achievement.
Each subsequent attempt will be slightly different, though due to the nature of gamebooks, there will be sections that repeat. I'll skim over passages more and more as I go through parts I've read multiple times, so pause if I'm going too fast. This one shouldn't need pausing as it's my first time playing. Note: I won't be providing narration or commentary.
