A game that FEELS like a 3D Streets of Rage, but ultimately falls short. This is a game that has a great atmosphere, good graphics, cool attacks, and a great variety of enemies and characters you can kick butt with. Unfortunately, the actual combat is very lacking. It can be slow, it's often stiff, and just doesn't flow well enough for me to call this a good game, just based on the fighting portions alone. I still like the game however, while the combat isn't good the game is still playable and...well...Nostalgia. What can I say. The game also had a sequel, Fighting Force 2, which I will review in some time. They were also apparently working on a third game but that never materialized.

Why listen to me over better beat 'em uppers like IGN, Gamespot, Gamespy, Giant Bomb, Destructoid, or GameTrailers? Well, I don't just review games from the eyes of a technical, professional Bimmy Lee. I also review games from the perspective of an actual Mayor Haggar.
