First, ensure that the drive is properly connected and visible in File Explorer. If the drive is connected but still isn’t recognized, try restarting File History. Go to Settings - System - Storage - Advanced storage settings - Backup options, and turn off File History. Then, set it up again by selecting your drive.
If the issue persists, consider using a different drive to see if that resolves the problem. Also, make sure your Windows 11 is up to date, as updates often include fixes for backup and storage issues.
