Final Boss: Ripto (Ripto's Arena) | Spyro Reignited Trilogy 100% Walkthrough "65/107" (No Comm)
58In this part, we take on the Boss of Winter Tundra, as well as the Final Boss of the game, Ripto, and acquire his Skill Point.
The Skill Point belonging to Ripto is acquired by defeating him with a Perfect, a.k.a. no damage. Ripto's Skill Point is another that is considered one of the hardest in the game alongside Gulp. Ripto's battle has three different phases to it and all three must be no damage. During the first phase, we will face Ripto one on one. The only attack Ripto will use normally is a simple fireball which is easy to dodge. Hunter will drop multi colored Orbs into the arena which after collecting three, will give us powers that can damage Ripto. If your final Orb was Red, you'll get a temporary Superflame Powerup to harm Ripto. If your final Orb was Blue, you'll get a temporary Supercharge Powerup to harm him. Lastly if the last Orb was Green you'll get a new Powerup with an arcing explosive blast to harm him. Be aware that Ripto will also be collecting the Orbs and will use abilities against you, such as his Blue Supercharge, and Red Fire Waves in the video. Once defeated he will move on to Phase 2.
In Phase 2, Ripto will some Mecha Gulp. Mecha Gulp can swallow Orbs and use their abilities somewhat like the original Gulp did with items. You don't want to deal with these attacks, so make sure you keep an eye on where he is looking and run that way to get Orbs before he does. Ripto will be throwing fireballs at us during this, but now he leads the shot like Gulp used to do, so you'll have to stop and run the other way to dodge them. Once defeated, Mecha Gulp will be destroyed and Gold Orbs will fly everywhere. Ripto will take one and create a Mecha Pteradactyl before turning the ground to lava. We will also automatically grab a Gold Orb and gain the Superfly and Superflame Powerups for the rest of the Phase 3.
During Phase 3, Ripto will fly around and try to blast us with green fireballs. These shots are strange as it's hard to predict them. I find it easiest to dodge them if you aren't looking at Ripto. So overall: aim at him, shoot a fireball, then look away and keep moving to dodge his. Once defeated this Skill Point is ours and we've completed the Main Story!
