6Phoenix is fine. There's some cool things it can do, but nothing particularly amazing.
I am in the habit of using lunge magic burst a lot so I can't get full use of Phoenix Shift. It's good for vertical distance, but I vastly prefer lunge because it can't be stopped midway. It's good for bonus grinding, too.
Rising Flames is pretty good. I use it whenever it's ready.
Scarlet Cyclone is good AOE and will damage. I use it selectively.
Flames of Rebirth has such long cool down that I basically use it as soon as it's available (unless we're in an AOE stage).
Heat Wave is amazing and I spend most of the levels baiting out projectiles for Heat Wave.
