Final DOOM: Evilution (UV Playthrough) [PC] - MAP20: Central Processing
4Despite the name, this is nothing like E1M6 of The Ultimate DOOM, except perhaps for one thing as far as I'm concerned...
Much like its namesake, this is quite possibly my least favourite map in this episode, and it most likely shows in how I play it. In fact, this is probably one of my worst recorded plays through any map, ever.
It starts off fine, but once the Red Skullkey is aquired it slowly becomes a big bland slog through incessantly dark areas, spattered with hitscanners stationed in bastardised positions. Eventually the trickling stream of cheapness just becomes intolerable, and unsurprisingly my concentration takes a nosedive.
The winding outdoor area at the end can go fuck itself too, unique design or not. But hey, at least the music's not horrible. In fact, I like it.
